So DID/OSDD are both trauma disorders, both are developed through extreme repeated childhood trauma.Everyone is born with different states which fail to integrate as they should resulting in dissociative parts of a whole. Those parts are (usually) called alters.(DID/OSDD are separate disorders, but are formed the same. Both were called multiple personality disorder(MPD), but thats outdated)
DID(dissociative identity disorder) has very distinct alters and amnesia between switching.
OSDD-1a has amnesia, but not very distinct alters
OSDD-1b has not as much as amnesia, but distinct alters

'You can see when someone is faking'
Nope, every system is different, so you cant tell if someone is faking or not.
'You can just switch, so do for me'
Nope, switching on command is hard and sometimes not possible(due to triggers)
'You can see/know when someone switches'
Nope, DID/OSDD are disorders for trauma, so most systems will try to mask it. Almost every time you don't know if someone switched(unless they told you)
'You are definitely violent, how do you have friends'
Its believed most DID/OSDD are less violent(since they know what can happen). Its also though that systems are most likely to be the victim again from violence.

Nope! Those are dissociative disorders.

FAQ'Is there a cure for DID/OSDD'
Yes and no, while there isnt a medicine for DID/OSDD, but system can do fusion(they go back to 1 person). But most systems are okay with being a system and dont want to go back.
'Can you have other disorders then DID/OSDD'
For sure! A lot of systems we come across have ADHD and/or autism, but you can have other illnesses then DID/OSDD.
'Are you gonna hurt me?'
Most systems dont hurt anyone out of nowhere, remember systems are also just alters who exist, just like you. Treat them as you would like a normal person.

But no, we cant switch for you. In order for us to switch, we need a trigger, so we cant switch on command.
Also, its very disrespectful to ask for someone to switch. Ask a system if they are okay with you asking a alter to come to front(even then, dont do it for fun)

Simple answer is to just ask systems, systems dont mind answering questions(ask before you ask anything). DID research is also a good source. Tumblr/tiktok not so much, alot of endo systems/fakers(what we noticed).
